how install getid3 on Acquia
I am a new user of Drupal and I am seeking to learn to use the programme to develop a website. I have installed Drupal through Acquia and I have been using the Acquia programme interface. Unfortunately, I seem to have gotten stuck in the early stages, because I have been unable to activate GetID3, which is necessary to activate the Filefield Meta module, which is in turn necessary to activate much of the Content module.
How can I activate GetID3 on Acquia in order to activate the other modules?
Please note that I have downloaded all the files for GetID3 on the local server on my computer by carefully following the download instructions found here: http://acquia.com/node/277014 (These files are currently stored under sites/all/modules as required).
On step 8 of this description it states: "Activate the GetID3 module by checking its checkbox on the module activation page at Administer > Site Building > Modules "
However, there is no checkbox specifically for the GetID3 module under the modules list in Acquia. Rather this is listed under the Filefield Meta module for which has its own checkbox, but which cannot be ticked without first activating the getid3 module. Meanwhile, despite having downloaded the files, the GetID3 is stubornly labelled as "missing".
Could you please advise me how, on the Acquia platform, I could fully install and activate GetID3 so that this becomes "enabled" and is no longer "missing"?
Many thanks in advance.

Re: how install getid3 on Acquia
You probably need to place the getid3 library in the appropriate folder. The library is a separate download as indicated on the getid3 module page on Drupal.org.
1.Go to http://www.getid3.org/ and download the latest stable version (currently 1.7.9)
2.Unzip and place into the new directory:sites/all/libraries/getid3
