Desparation is setting in!

Hi All.

I am currently trying to customise a site that was set up by someone else.

I have managed to clone the site so I can play with it with no fear of wrecking the live site, and have
achieved some of my target. But some steps are blocking me and I just can't fins the answer.

So all help appreciated.

I have even become so desperate I have bought a reference book, much use that was.

Ok so...

I am on Drupal 6.22
I am trying to get the blog working.
I have managed to get it to appear on a page so it matches the other pages http://www.tptechserv.co.uk/company_blog all good so far.

The problem...

I want it to look like this http://www.tptechserv.co.uk/news and I would like all the standard blog archive functionality working. Oh and tagging with a tag cloud or some such would be lovely! (but I can live with out that for now). Just the look of the overview page would be great.

The view I have used is identical to the view that is used for the news page (I cloned it). and I believe the page itself is also a copy.

All help appreciated.

Help me Obi Wan Kanobi.

Your my only hope!

Re: Desparation is setting in!

When you say that you want it to look like http://www.tptechserv.co.uk/news I assume that you mean you want just a teaser with a read more link on the overview page. You can make that happen by adjusting the settings for the view that controls the list of blog posts. You need to look at the "row style" in your view settings. I assume that it is set to "node". If the row style is set to node then in the configuration settings for the row style (click on the gear icon) the "build mode" should be set to "teaser".

If you're interested in creating a tag cloud using tagadelic then please see http://learnbythedrop.com/drop/125.
