Socializing Content With Ratings And Sharing Links
Lesson Twelve of my special Getting Started With Drupal series of instructional videos.
This lesson focuses on socializing your content by allowing your site visitors to easily share and rate site content. Automatic sharing links for sites like Facebook, Delicious, Digg and others are generated by the Service Links module. A star based rating system for nodes is powered by the Fivestar module which also requires the Voting API module.

Hey Rob,
Great videos! I have been working through them all for a couple days now. I have a question though. I am trying to get service links and five star to show up on my front page in one of the blocks but can't get them to show up for some reason. I've tried listing them in "sidebar last" as well as other blocks but they won't show up. After I move the block into the proper block I hit save too. I have no problem moving and displaying other blocks but for some reason I can't get the modules from this lesson to display on the front page. Thanks a lot for your help and if you have any suggestions I would appreciate it!
Service Links and Fivestar
I don't think that either of those blocks would be viewable on the front page in a block and here's why. Each of those modules relates to a specific node. So you're sharing and rating a specific node. Therefore I would only expect those elements to be visible in a block if you are viewing the node at its unique link like you do at http://gettingstarted.awakenedvoice.com/blog/sportsfan/2009/04/19/sports....
Division by zero error in Fivestar
Greetings Rob,
Thanks for these vids.
I got the following error messages once i edited the Blog entry content type:
* warning: Division by zero in /home/galaran1/public_html/Drupal/modules/fivestar/fivestar.module on line 1584.
* warning: Division by zero in /home/galaran1/public_html/Drupal/modules/fivestar/fivestar.module on line 1585.
I've found lines 1584 and 1585 in my file, but i don't know what to do next. Can you help?
Fivestar Error
The best place to get answers issues related to a specific module is always the issue queue for that module on Drupal.org. It looks like a few people have had this issue. Click through to see what they're saying about it. http://drupal.org/project/issues/fivestar?text=division+by+zero&status=A...
